The 9-3 Ft. Polk South win over Pine Island was due largely to Qing-lai Li. The Thunder Hawks shortstop went 3-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win gives Ft. Polk South a record of 9-10.

Josh Miller, the 27-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Miller contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Ft. Polk South up, 4-3.

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Li told the Ft. Polk South Chronicle.
