Brandon, Ogres Get Tidy 2-0 Win Over St. Petersburg
|
David Brandon never let the Thunder get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Ogres to a win, 2-0. Curt Whitley collected his 1st save. The win gives Olympia a record of 7-12.
Brandon, who dominated for Olympia, earned the victory to move to 2-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7. St. Petersburg batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Brandon told the Olympia Daily News.
