Turbeaus Upend Polar Bears, 4-2
Gulf Coast Turbeaus starter Ronnie Dunse turned in a top-notch performance against the Billings Polar Bears at The Igloo. The result was a win for the Turbeaus, 4-2. Dunse got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Dunse allowed 2 runs. Jason Taylor earned the save, his 4th, for the Turbeaus.

The Polar Bears had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Turbeaus going into the top of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old right fielder Ángel López came to the plate. López hit a 2-run home run on a 1-2 fastball from Billings hurler Ernest Thompson. It was López's 3rd home run of the year.

"Ronnie was pounding the zone," said Gulf Coast manager John Simpson.

With the win, Gulf Coast lifts its record to 7-7.
