The Squirrel Hill Pierogis topped the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 6-3, in USSL Double A action at Field of the Rawhides. The game was highlighted by the performance of Squirrel Hill pitcher Jonathan Lynch. The winning pitcher was Lynch, now 1-2. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 8. Mark Ramsdell collected save number 1.

Matt Flores dealt the Cangrejos Fantasmas a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Squirrel Hill leading 3-1, Flores hit a first pitch cutter for a 2-run single.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Lynch told the Squirrel Hill Daily News.

The Cangrejos Fantasmas fall to 5-8 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2056 season.
