Guinea Pigs Rally For Late Win Over Farmers
|
Experimental Stadium hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
In a low-scoring affair between the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs and the Lancaster Farmers, pitcher Ken O'Neal was the difference between victory and defeat. The Gwinnett right-hander earned accolades in the 2-0 Guinea Pigs win. Lancaster, at 42-58, has lost 4 straight.
Jakob Presser took Eugene Brewer deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Guinea Pigs on top, 2-0. In all, Presser had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Presser.
