|
The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis trumped the Lake Murray MotorBoaters, 3-1, at Heron Field. Nuevo Mexico pitcher Leo Spaceman was terrific. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. In 7 innings, Spaceman surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. The triumph puts Nuevo Mexico at 54-43 for the season.
Nuevo Mexico took a 3-1 lead on Ken Jennings's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Jennings hit in the top of the seventh, left Lake Murray pitcher Lucas Dean shaking his head.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Spaceman.
