Marquette turned a good effort from starter Quincy Rose into a win over the Barton Springs Blues at Marquette Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Rose, the winner, moves to 7-2. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. Bill Tuttle earned his 17th save in 20 tries.
