Fat Cats Suffer 8-2 Loss to Whales
The Virginia Beach Whales thumped the Ottawa Fat Cats, 8-2, at Nationals Park. Rob Martin was a big reason his team got the win. Martin went 4-5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 times. Virginia Beach starter Keanu Kolora was credited with the win after throwing 98 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 4-5. Their 43-32 record puts the Whales third in the Menard's AA.

Virginia Beach used the bat of Esteban Reyes to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Whales ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
