Carl Wilson had a good game, but he could not keep the Lake Murray MotorBoaters from falling, 7-6, to the Virginia Beach Whales at Virginia Beach Grounds. The Lake Murray third baseman went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 in the loss. The winner was Michael Wright in relief. His record improves to 6-1. Nick Middleton took the loss. The Whales sit in third place in the Menard's AA with a record of 40-30.

The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the fourth inning, when the Whales were trailing 6-4. Keith Cashman delivered a two-out 3-run home run for Virginia Beach, catapulting his team into the lead.

"We got the victory," said Cashman. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
