The Westwood Sixshooters stopped the Richland Rails, 5-2, behind an impressive performance from Ed Edwards. The 26-year old third baseman made life miserable for Richland pitching. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Keith Ayers got credit for the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.2 innings. Sean Hamilton notched his 18th save in 20 chances.

With two out in the top of the third, Tom Sale put Westwood in front, 4-2, with a 2-run single. The Sixshooters went on to win the ballgame.

"We did enough to win," said Sale.

Westwood is now 36-33.
