Guinea Pigs Get One-Run Win at Lancaster
The Guinea Pigs grabbed a win, 6-5, at Farmers Field, overcoming a fine effort from Lancaster pitcher David García. García went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. Gwinnett reliever Elijah Cox picked up the win, raising his record to 6-2. Juan Castro was tagged with the loss. Gwinnett, at 40-24, is 2½ games up in the Menard's AA.

Arturo Piña was 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs for Gwinnett. The 24-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Juan Castro. It was his 62nd RBI of the season.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Gwinnett manager Pedro Vázquez.
