Sixshooters Best Miners in Pitching Duel

Quincy Rose pitched well, but his team, the Marquette Miners, still dropped a 2-0 decision to the Westwood Sixshooters at Sixshooters Stadium. Sean Hamilton got credit for the save for Westwood. It was his 12th of the year. Westwood, at 23-26, occupies 10th place in the Menard's AA.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Danny Dean didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Marquette trailing 2-0, Dean retired Alexander Thompson to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Dean, with a wink.
