Virginia Beach Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Virginia Beach Whales beat the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs by a score of 6-5. Virginia Beach first baseman Keith Cashman deserved the lion's share of the credit. Cashman was 2-3 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Whales. With the win, Virginia Beach raised its record to 21-16.

Fernando Tabárez was the walk-off hero for Virginia Beach. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Whales pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Virginia Beach manager Marv Bradford.
