Sixshooters Drop Farmers, 3-2

The Westwood Sixshooters faced a tough opponent in Lancaster pitcher Francisco Colón, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Sixshooters Stadium by a final score of 3-2. Colón went 6.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. At 17-18, the Sixshooters find themselves in 9th place in the Menard's AA.
The Sixshooters got an important contribution from third baseman Craig Curtis, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a first pitch slider into right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Sixshooters ahead, 3-1.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Curtis said after the game.
