John Bunch could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Casper Ghosts lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis at Mariachi Band Shell. Ernest Goodman earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 2-0. Ed Davenport was credited with the save for Nuevo Mexico, his 5th of the season.

In the bottom of the eighth, Nuevo Mexico left fielder Sean Miller put his team on top. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit his 4th double of the year. Casper pitcher John Bunch served it up. Just like that, the Mariachis were ahead, 3-2.

Miller said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

Nuevo Mexico raised its record to 15-12 with the win.
