Lowe Socks 2 Home Runs in 4-1 Marquette Win
|
The 4-1 Marquette win over Gwinnett was due in large part to Chris Lowe. The Miners second baseman hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Tony O'Connor. His record is now 1-3. The right-hander went 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits for the Miners. The triumph makes Marquette 7-19.
Lowe had a key at-bat for Marquette early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and gave Marquette an early 2-0 lead.
Lowe called the win "a collective effort."
