Ponies Lose to Dirty Reds, 3-1
|
The Dayton Dirty Reds topped the Kingston Ponies, 3-1, in Menard's Third League action at Megaffin Park. The standout performance belonged to Dayton pitcher and Thaton, Myanmar, native Kim-Hu Tung. Max van Capelleveen got the save, his 4th in 4 chances. Kingston has now lost 4 straight.
Dayton relied on the hitting of Yosai Hayagawa to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Dirty Reds on top, 2-0. For the game, Hayagawa had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Hayagawa told the Dayton News.
