Leviathan Need Extra Innings to Top Dirty Reds, 6-4
|
The Nova Scotia Leviathan topped the Dayton Dirty Reds by a score of 6-4. Leading the way was left fielder Daniel Marley. Marley went 5-7 with a double, 4 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Leviathan. The 8th-place Leviathan lifted their record to 38-45.
Nova Scotia used the timely hitting of Cam Lumsden to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 16th inning to put the Leviathan on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Marley told the Nova Scotia Times.
