Dirty Reds Stick Billy Goats with 4-1 Loss
|
The Dayton Dirty Reds went home winners at Lang Park, thanks in large part to starter Yin-reng Fong. Fong stifled the Colorado Billy Goats, enabling Dayton to grab the 4-1 win. Fong went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 5-6. Kevin Horton got credit for the save for Dayton. It was his 1st of the year.
Jung-heum Kim put Dayton in front, 3-0, when he hit a 2-run home run off Raúl Hernández in the bottom of the third. It was his 4th home run of the season.
"You can never predict what'll happen," Fong said. "That's why you play the game."
Dayton is in 11th place in the Third League with a record of 28-47.
