The Buckhead Bowties got a stellar performance from pitcher Max Meltdown, who handcuffed the Nova Scotia offense en route to a win, 2-1, at The Dungeon in Halifax. Armando Trujillo recorded the save for Buckhead, his 7th of the season. With the win, Buckhead has a record of 19-38. Nova Scotia falls to 24-33.

The Leviathan had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Bowties going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old center fielder Eric Thiel came to the plate. Thiel hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch curveball from Nova Scotia hurler Alfredo Maldonado. It was Thiel's 4th double of the year.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Meltdown.
