The Buckhead Bowties got a superb performance from pitcher Walt Gould, but the Kingston Ponies still won the game, 4-3. Gould threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 runs. George Taylor was the winner. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts. Kingston is now 22-23.

Kingston used a well-timed hit by Greg Erwin to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Ponies ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
