Starting pitcher David García had a solid game. He was a big reason the Lancaster Farmers throttled the Virginia Beach Whales, 3-2. The winning pitcher was García, now 2-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. Juan Castro finished to wrap up his 3rd save.

With Lancaster leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Jesús Molina hit a run-scoring single off Virginia Beach pitcher Lonnie Slaughter. It put the Farmers ahead 3-1.
