Drummers Take Shellacking, Lose 14-2
The Port Huron Blitzkrieg handed the Tortolita Drummers a sound defeat, 14-2, at Drummers Ballpark. Shawn Maldonado was a main contributor to the win. He was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Port Huron. The 4th-place Blitzkrieg now have a win-loss record of 48-53.

With Port Huron leading 9-2 in the top of the ninth, Maldonado came up to bat against Tortolita pitcher Ed Moore. Maldonado hit a curveball to right for a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season put the Blitzkrieg on top, 12-2.

"We got our butts kicked," said Tortolita manager Marcos Costa.
