Getting a good performance from first baseman Chin-seok Chong, the Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeated the Sunset District Fog, 5-4. Chong was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Red Pandas. Sioux Falls reliever Michael MacGregor got the win, raising his record to 5-3. Peter Jackson was tagged with the loss. Benoît Lambert picked up the save for Sioux Falls, his 4th of the year.

Chong had a timely hit for Sioux Falls in the bottom of the eighth. With Sunset District trailing 4-3, he turned a 2-0 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Sioux Falls.

"Enjoyed this one," Chong told the Sioux Falls Today. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

The 9th-place Red Pandas improved to 44-54.
