The Sacramento Redlegs and Ft. Myers Marlins played an exciting game.

The Sacramento Redlegs had to overcome a fine effort from Ft. Myers pitcher Alex Wilson to grab a narrow 4-3 win at League Park. Wilson went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. The Redlegs, at 53-45, sit in third place in the Silver AAA.

Sacramento used a timely hit from Ralph MacPherson to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said MacPherson.
