Big Day for Maldonado as Blitzkrieg Down Rainbeaus, 15-5
The performance of Shawn Maldonado proved critical in helping Port Huron beat Kansas, 15-5. The Blitzkrieg third baseman went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Luis Montáñez earned the save for Port Huron, his 1st of the year. At 42-51, the Blitzkrieg find themselves in 8th place in the Silver AAA.

Kevin Morris contributed to the Port Huron win. The 25-year old right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Morris went 3 for 6 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Port Huron manager Steve Ferguson.
