Drummers Go Down to Defeat, 8-6
|
Sunset District and Tortolita duked it out and the Fog came out victorious.
The Sunset District Fog had to overcome a big game from Tortolita third baseman John Dorian to leave Fog Park with a victory. And they did, winning 8-6. Dorian went 4 for 4 with a triple and 3 singles. Thad Phillips recorded the save, his 1st.
The Fog grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fourth. With one out, Ray Englund hit a 2-run home run off Randy Crane, putting Sunset District in front, 5-2. For Englund, it was his 7th home run of the season.
"Nervous? No," said Englund. "It was my time to shine."
The win makes Sunset District 41-51.
