In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Port Huron Blitzkrieg topped the Sunset District Fog, 9-5, in USSL Triple A action at Fog Park. The standout performance belonged to Port Huron pitcher and Tanggu, China, native Yuan Thian. Thian, now 7-8, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs.
Ray Parker hit a run-scoring double off Félix López in the top of the second, which put the Blitzkrieg in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Parker had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Parker said. "We did a good job of that today."
With the win over Sunset District, the Blitzkrieg improved to 36-49.
