Floundering Blitzkrieg Lose 10th Straight
The Alaskan Humpbacks topped the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 7-5, the lion's share of the credit going to designated hitter John Simpson. On the day, Simpson went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Humpbacks. Robert Erickson closed it out for his 26th save. The slumping Blitzkrieg have dropped 10 in a row.

Simpson had a timely hit for Alaskan in the top of the eighth. With Port Huron trailing 5-4, he turned a 1-2 changeup into a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season, making it 6-5, Alaskan.

"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Port Huron skipper Steve Ferguson.
