Rainbeaus Sneak Past Marlins, 3-2
|
There was no shortage of dramatics at Wichita Field.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Kansas Rainbeaus and the Ft. Myers Marlins, Milo Clark was the difference-maker. The Kansas right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The 5th-place Rainbeaus go to 39-44.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Kansas trailing 2-1, Danny Carter jumped on a 1-2 splitter from Alfredo Contreras for a 2-run home run, sending the Rainbeaus to a walk-off win.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Carter.
