Tortolita got a strong outing from Casey Ball as the Drummers defeated the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 3-2, at The Bamboo Forest. Apaghana Shachi was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 17 of 17 save opportunities. Sioux Falls's current losing streak is now 6 games.

Tortolita used the timely hitting of Sibrand Boermeester to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Drummers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame comments, Boermeester told the Tortolita Observer: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
