Ken Hines was the difference-maker for the Norfolk Pajaritos in what turned into a shootout with the Port Huron Blitzkrieg. Hines went 3-for-3 in the 13-10 Pajaritos win. Norfolk reliever Oliver Quested was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Kensaku Sanu took the loss. The 'W' lifts Norfolk's record to 32-40.

Had Jorge Valdés not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Valdés hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 8-7, in favor of the Pajaritos.

Port Huron manager Steve Ferguson said he was disappointed with the loss. "Whenever you score that many runs, you expect to win the game."
