Starting pitcher Iban Wilson pitched well enough to help the Tortolita Drummers beat the Sacramento Redlegs, 4-3. Ed Moore came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 3 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Tortolita now owns a record of 48-20.

In the bottom of the sixth, Tortolita third baseman Wayne Schmidt put his team on top. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit his 13th home run of the year. Sacramento pitcher Gunnar Quinn served it up. Just like that, the Drummers were ahead, 3-2.

"We've got a great group of guys," Schmidt said, "and we're having fun right now."
