The Port Huron Blitzkrieg beat the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 6-3, at Port Huron Park. Port Huron first baseman Martin Mullinger collected 3 singles and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Gil Childers earned the save for Port Huron, his 16th. The Blitzkrieg are now 26-30, while the Red Pandas fall to 24-32.

The Blitzkrieg got an important contribution from center fielder Ray Parker, who in the bottom of the fifth punched a 1-1 sinker into left for a 2-run double. It was his 14th double of the season and put the Blitzkrieg ahead, 5-1.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Port Huron manager Steve Ferguson.
