Getting a good performance from designated hitter Mike Sherman, the Port Huron Blitzkrieg defeated the Sunset District Fog, 11-9. Sherman went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 for the Blitzkrieg. Minoru Sakata picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Robbie Edmond was tagged with the loss. Port Huron, now 24-27, holds down 6th place in the Silver AAA.

With Port Huron leading 9-8 in the bottom of the sixth, Carlos Macías hit a 2-run single off Sunset District pitcher Archie Locke. It put the Blitzkrieg ahead 11-8.

Blitzkrieg manager Steve Ferguson wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
