The Norfolk Pajaritos had no problem beating the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 12-3, at The Bamboo Forest. Gale Boetticher led the way. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs for Norfolk. At 20-25, the Pajaritos find themselves in 8th place in the Silver AAA.

The Pajaritos got a big boost from designated hitter Jorge Valdés who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning off Red Pandas hurler Ronald McDonald. It was his 4th RBI of the season and put Norfolk on top, 2-1.

In postgame comments to the Norfolk Chronicle, Valdés said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
