Marlins Knock Off Red Pandas at The Bamboo Forest
With designated hitter Luis Tico leading the charge, the Ft. Myers Marlins defeated the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 7-1, at The Bamboo Forest. Tico, who is tied for 6th in the SAAA in triples with 2, went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Rob Anderson got the win, improving to 3-2. He held the Red Pandas to 1 run on 4 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 4. The Marlins are now 16-17, while the Red Pandas fall to 17-16.

The Marlins got a lift from shortstop Frank Chang, who in the top of the first stroked a first pitch curveball into right for a 2-run single. It was his 28th hit of the season and put the Marlins ahead, 5-0.

"Feels good to get the job done," Chang said after the game.
