The Ft. Myers Marlins topped the Sacramento Redlegs by the score of 10-5, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Ludwig Hofler. Hofler went 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Marlins. With the win, Ft. Myers goes to 14-16, while the Redlegs fall to 19-11.

In the bottom of the eighth, Ft. Myers designated hitter Ziad Fakhir gave his team the lead. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Puke hit his 4th home run of the year. Sacramento pitcher Ken Milligan surrendered it. With that, the Marlins jumped in front, 6-5.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Fakhir.
