Redlegs Stick Blitzkrieg with 2-1 Loss
|
Sacramento Redlegs starter Gunnar Quinn turned in a sterling performance against the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. Quinn got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Quinn allowed 1 run. The win puts Sacramento at 17-10 this season.
It could have been a different outcome for Sacramento, had it not been for Luis Tañón, the 23-year old second baseman . Tañón contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put Sacramento up, 2-0.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Port Huron manager Steve Ferguson, "let me know."
