Sacramento Redlegs starter Rich Banks was in fine form against the Kansas Rainbeaus at Wichita Field, leading his team to a win, 5-2. Banks picked up the win for Sacramento, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. The second-place Redlegs have won 4 in a row.
Sacramento used the bat of Rick MacIlleriach to capture the win. The designated hitter jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
