Redlegs Fell Monsters, 2-1

The exploits of first baseman Lou de Klerk, who is tied for 10th in the SAAA with a .311 batting average, helped the Sacramento Redlegs defeat the Monongahela Monsters, 2-1. de Klerk went 3-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Max Schwarzacher. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. At 13-8, the Redlegs are currently second in the Silver AAA.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Redlegs grabbed the lead when de Klerk hit his 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run off Martin Lumley made it 2-1, Sacramento.
