Kansas and Port Huron duked it out and the Rainbeaus came out victorious.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Kansas Rainbeaus and the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, Ron Canseco was the difference-maker. The Kansas right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Canseco, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks.
Kansas used the clutch hitting of Danny Carter to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rainbeaus ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Kansas manager Will Thomas.
Kansas is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 7th win in 19 games.
