Humpbacks Beat Monongahela, 4-3
|
The Monongahela Monsters got a sterling performance from pitcher Richard Miller, but the Alaskan Humpbacks still prevailed, 4-3. Miller threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. The win belongs to Dylan Ziersch in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bill Bray took the loss for Monongahela. Alaskan now has a record of 8-7.
In the bottom of the eighth, Alaskan designated hitter Felipe Lamoncha gave his team the lead. With two out and a runner on 3rd, Speed Limit hit his 1st home run of the year. Monongahela pitcher Bill Bray surrendered it. With that, the Humpbacks jumped in front, 4-3.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Lamoncha told the Alaskan Daily.
