The Billings Polar Bears had no problem beating the St. Petersburg Thunder, 11-2, at The Igloo. John Rice led the way. He was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for Billings. With the loss, St. Petersburg falls to 1-2.

With Billings leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Rice hit a curveball from Carlos Gómez for a bases-clearing double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Polar Bears ahead, 5-0.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Rice told the Billings Daily.
