Flyers Edge ParksNRec, 5-4
|
The performance of Dan Kelly proved critical in helping Pennsauken beat Pawnee, 5-4. The Flyers first baseman was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Remie den Braber was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. The loss makes Pawnee 36-46.
Kelly contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Pennsauken in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Kelly took a fastball from Rod Ropp and stroked the home run to left. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Flyers to leap in front, 5-3.
"We found a way to get it done," Kelly said.
