Starks Take Down Pride, 3-2
|
The Syracuse Starks scored a tight 3-2 win versus the Hartford Pride at Stark Stadium. Syracuse pitcher Steve Ward held his own in the contest. Syracuse, at 38-40, sits in 5th place in the Premier AAA.
The Starks relied on left fielder Justin Armstrong for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"This place was rockin'," Ward said.
