Pride Earn 2-1 Win Versus ParksNRec
|
Mao-you Zhen pitched well, but his team, the Pawnee ParksNRec, still dropped a 2-1 decision to the Hartford Pride at Whips Ballpark. Seth Abrams got credit for the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. Dan Smith finished to wrap up his 4th save.
Hartford used the timely hitting of Leonard Davis to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pride on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Pawnee manager Dave Everett. "Obviously."
Hartford has a record of 32-39, placing them 6th in the Premier AAA.
