Athletic Club KC Beats Calgary, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Athletic Club KC Reserves and the Calgary Lynx, pitcher Martin Elzey was the difference between victory and defeat. The Athletic Club KC right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Reserves win. Sidd Finch earned the save for Athletic Club KC, his 12th of the year. Athletic Club KC bumps their record to 30-35 with the win.
Athletic Club KC took a 3-2 lead on Sherwin Tacod's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Calgary pitcher David Rubin in the bottom of the seventh.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Calgary manager Steve Duncan.
