Pride Rally to Eke Out Win
|
There was never a dull moment in this extra-length game between the Hartford Pride and the Bakersfield Nobles.
The Hartford Pride beat the Bakersfield Nobles, 3-2. Hartford pitcher and Tuckahoe, Virginia, native Mark Hogan led the way. Rodger Asmus got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings.
Hartford got the win thanks to a clutch hit from James Hall. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Pride ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 6 at-bats, it had a major impact on the outcome.
"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Hall.
The Pride, at 26-36, sit in last place in the Premier AAA.
