Flyers Win Streak Reaches 6
|
The Pennsauken Flyers got a strong performance from pitcher Sergio Lugo, who stymied the Syracuse offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Stark Stadium. Lugo, now 4-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The Flyers sit in 4th place in the Premier AAA with a record of 30-30.
John Bowman had a go-ahead triple for Pennsauken in the top of the second inning. With one out and a runner on 1st, the 26-year old second baseman hit a run-scoring triple off Geoffrey Da Costa. His 5th triple of the season made the score 1-0.
"This team is headed in the right direction," said Bowman.
